Jen-Ken AF3P Vitri Barrel
Compact and portable vitrigrph kiln designed for stringer work, featuring a bottom hole used to pull stringers from. The interior measures 11" wide by 9" deep, offering a practical chamber for vitrigraph projects while maintaining a small footprint.
Side firing only, this kiln ships as three pieces or can be delivered as a single unit with a hinged lid by special order.
Convertibility: it can be adapted for fusing or ceramic firing with the optional second solid floor that has no hole in the bottom.
Designed to be used on a steel rack as shown and not intended for table-top operation.
Important safety and process notes: glass flows out of the bottom hole once the kiln reaches approximately 1650°F. Prepare with proper clothing, tools, high-temperature gloves, and a dedicated area equipped with a rack and a large steel container to catch the hot glass.
Standard equipment includes the Orton Digital 3-key controller for precise firing control.
Solid State Relay: This upgrade delivers efficient power cycling, tighter temperature control, longer element life, and potential energy savings compared with traditional relays, reducing maintenance needs over time.
Metal Stand: Elevates the kiln to improve accessibility and airflow, helping maintain a tidy, ergonomic workspace.
