Jen-Ken AF3P 18-E Glass Kiln is a versatile top- and side-firing unit sized for home use. It ships standard with the AF3P Orton digital 3-button controller, with options to upgrade to the Orton Autofire 12-key controller or the TAP controller.

A Solid State Relay powers the kiln’s element cycling with high efficiency and fast operation. This delivers incredibly tight temperature control for accurate firings, longer element life, and potential electrical savings. Unlike mechanical relays, which have moving parts that wear over time, a solid state relay is designed to last the life of the kiln.

TAP Touchscreen Smart Controller by SDS Industries
The TAP Smart Controller is described as the top-of-the-line option: easy to use, feature-rich, and capable of delivering high-quality results. It offers substantial memory for creating, revising, and saving firing programs, with virtually unlimited storage for profiles and steps. When ordered with the Wi-Fi Dongle, you can control the kiln from any device—computer, tablet, or phone—thanks to internet connectivity. Software updates from SDS Industries are applied automatically to keep you current. You can adjust in-progress firings, skip steps, and view all graphical information with a tap. The TAP supports the Loud Alarm option.
