Designed for artists who pursue both ceramic and glass firing, the Ceram-A-Glass series from Jen-Ken blends dual firing modes in one kiln. In glass mode, the top heating elements deliver a concentrated heat blast to the shelf, while some side coils assist the ramp to temperature to help bring the kiln up evenly.
Temperature options include ceramic mode up to 2150°F and glass mode up to 1700°F. With a manual bypass (inquire prior to ordering), this model can reach up to 2300°F.
Included free accessories: stand, manual, and a solid-state relay. A solid-state relay provides efficient, fast power cycling, yielding tighter temperature control, longer element life, and potential electrical savings compared with traditional relays. This upgrade reduces wear and the need for future replacements over time.
