Designed for Cullet Firing with a Precise Temperature Profile
Designed to fire kiln up to 2300°F to melt the cullet, then cool down to 1800°F to squeeze the glass, then work at 2050°F to 2100°F for the gathers. When between sessions, hold the kiln at 1800°F, then turn back to work at the gathering temperature.

Max Temperature 2300°F and Max Working Temperature 2150°F.
Coils in crucible kilns tend to last 3 to 6 months and are not warranted.
Important Note: Electric Crucible Kiln are designed to melt cullet and not to make glass from batch!!! Making batch usually causes the thermocouple and the kiln brick to crystalize and deteriorate quickly from the caustic fumes that are given off.
Controller Selection and Options
Jen-Ken has close relationships with the manufacturers of a variety of digital controllers, such as those from SDS Industries and Orton. This means you will have nothing but the best in terms of performance and accuracy in your firings. With a selection of multiple controllers available - you can choose exactly what fits your needs. This kiln comes standard with the AF3P Orton 3-button controller, however you have the option to upgrade to the Orton AutoFire 12-key controller (as pictured) or the TAP preprogrammed digital controller.
