Performance and temperature
The ProFusion 16 is designed to reach its maximum temperature in approximately 1.5 hours, allowing you to fire glass with minimal heat resistance. A thermocouple can be used inside the kiln to monitor temperature accurately.
Controls and upgrade options
The kiln ships with an AF3P Orton digital 3-button controller for flexible operation. It can be upgraded to an Orton AutoFire 12-key or a TAP controller to optimize firing sequences. The unit can also be plugged into a controller that simply connects to a standard wall outlet for power.
Upgradability and durability
The ProFusion 16 offers an upgradability feature to Solid State Relays (SSR). Adding SSR reduces moving parts, which can extend the kiln’s lifespan and reliability.
